I survived my first week of temp job! I never expect myself to be working in a CC one day. Still, I am thankful for this job given my late job search, not to mention that its so near my house, in the familiar area I grow up in.
Although its barely a week, working here has made me seen how multi-layered our society is.
Spore is so wealthy and advanced,
yet there are still so many people who does not own PCs at home,
people who come to apply for ComCare Fund (Social welfare Scheme awarded to needy people on 3 months basis),
old people who come to apply for Food relief (One Free Meal per day),
people who do not own a single credit/debit card in the entire household,
countless people who read free newspapers in the CC daily...
No matter how fast and far we progress, there will always be some folks left behind...
Suddenly, there is this heightened sense of social awareness in me.
I have been encouraged to join. Should I be in YEC next? Haha
