Depressed

Depress, depress, depress...

I shall wallow in self pity...

Thinking about the day I leave, walking into the gates alone, my lonesome back figure diminishing from everyone, where I embark my lonely journey to another part of the world...

I should just become a Panda in my next life (but can I choose to have lighter rings around my eyes if not it will be very ugly)... Can sleep and eat all day and be listed as the top 10 most protected animal in the world, to attract all the attention from spectators, and I wun care if Im in the Zoo all my life...

Random Post

One day while I finished jogging at the fitness corner, I saw this sight in the sky so I decided to capture it. Im quite sure its not a rainbow cos it's only this short plus it wasn't raining beforehand. Quite amazing isn't it? I wouldn't have discovered it if I were not about to do sit-ups and look up at the sky.
Went to NTU on sat for the resume pic taking. So sianz cos have to go all the way to the ulu school which I almost forgotten how it looks like. Nothing much have changed, it is still as dead as before. Okay maybe I have forgotten that it's a saturday afterall. But there were quite alot of people to my surprise at the ulu location. I smiled fakely and remained quite stiff in the shot, dun think it will be nice =(
And below is what I wore there, maybe I should try wearing like that to Orchard one day. I managed to watch Dead Silence and Ratatooe these few days. Dead Silence is a must-watch for horror lovers! I give 6 STARS! Omg I felt like it's the best horror show I have watched these few years, not too gory yet it attained the aim of frightening people and simply giving us the goose bumps. One word of Advice: Just dun SCREAM no matter what happens, or else...

As for the RAT show, it's fantastic too. Did I ever say that Finding Nemo is my Fav animation film ever? It still is, but this RAT show is as good as Nemo in terms of its animation just that I guess I still prefer fishes to rats. Haha.

Special thanks to Will for ya SINS chocolates... I love it! It's not a sin to eat chocolates definitely, and I will not care anymore if it's a sin to do things that people find it a sin, so long as Im happy with it...

Extreme Makeover

It has never been an easy job from the start, from the planning to the thinking to the purchasing to the executing, it is simply time consuming. I was inspired by Nuan who madeover her room, which gave me the motivation to do so to mine since it has been in a pretty bad shape for the past 10 years, messy, untidy, cramp and worst of all DUSTY! People who have been to my room before should know, even the tweety bird is not spared. Im really glad I have the time to revamp now before it's too late.

Before... the horrendous look, and just note the thickness of the accumulated dust on the walls.
After 2 weeks... I realli love the design of the bed!
In case u r wondering where the bed is...
My little design on the otherwise plain wallPandes! from the courtesy of the auntie. and my much loved Zen Lamp.
My room is now more spacious definitely. Many thanks to people who have contributed ideas along the way, like deciding the paint colors for me, giving suggestions etc. Thanks for ya ideas, as I love my cosy room to bits! Will have a Room Warming soon! LOL

Chinese Lyrics

I just saw this video from 超级星光大道, for u guys who haven heard of this program, u are really behind time cos it's currently the most talked about program in Taiwan now. This song is sang by my fav contestant from the show, also the champ, 林宥嘉. I really love his voice alot, and the emotions he injected into every song he sang, not to mention the courage he displays in the choice of challenging songs he chose to sing each time. I'm not exaggerating, but as I listen to the song and watch his expression, I can't help my tears from welling...

Love the lyrics from the chorus:

你是我的眼 带我领略四季的变换

你是我的眼 带我穿越拥挤的人潮

你是我的眼 带我阅读浩瀚的书海

因为你是我的眼 让我看见这世界 就在我眼前

Can Time Stop for me ?

Painting is finally done today. I never know it can be so sian and so much work. Luckily my dad managed to help me if not I will probably take the whole day. I will just hire painters in future when my dream house is around, not going to touch paint anymore. Anw thanx to Nuan for yr tray and brushes. Afternoon went to meet Pz buy new bedsheets. Thanks to her for going to the showroom wif me if not I will spend more money, I bought quilt, covers, a pillow, bedsheets.

Been quite busy lately. Meeting people. Movies. Fireworks. Sentosa. Shopping. Room furnishing, painting. Exchange preparations. Physically busy, mentally occupied. Right now just feel like dropping out of the exchange and just rest for a semester from ntu. I wanna be a drop-out for a sem, just play and no study and no work. I dun wanna care anymore. Just let me b.

oh亲爱的你家的路怎会越开越远
oh天知道怎么办
我们都失去了方向感
oh亲爱的你是否也在等着那一天
心的距离能缩短
找回遗失的安全感

Perfect Stranger

I always find it amazing how the paths of very different people can cross in the slightest circumstance. Recently I met someone out of the blue, which I can attribute to boredom probably, and the outcome is too surprising for me to handle. I just wanna say life is really full of surprises. A stranger you just encountered can turn into someone close the next moment.

Anw I have been going to the movies rather frequently, where I managed to catch Secret, Rush Hr 3 and 881. I must say Secret surprises me the most with it's creative ending. 881 is overrated I feel, while Rush Hr is just for laughs if thats wat u seek. Does a movie depend on who u watch with ? I guess to some extent it does, even though there is minimal interaction throughout the show. But the person sitting beside you does affect your viewing mood.

And I suddenly had a strong urge not to go for the exchange. Dun ask me why, but just dun feel excited at all. The sadness in me is very strong now, if I were to leave SG for 4 mths, when so much can change in 4 mths time. And the aftermath of the exchange, such as readapting to SG and NTU again after so long. Seriously I dun even feel like Im in NTU now cos I feel so detached. And if i can, I even wanna go local exchange to SMU, which I think is not possible. I just wanna spend as little time in NTU as possible.

Eventful Weekend

Met up with 43s on Friday for dim sum lunch at harbourfront. It’s rather cheap, less than 20 bucks and u can eat all u can. Food wise, it’s just okay, do not expect too much. I still think red star is the best dim sum in Spore. And we really ate till we almost couldn’t walk, for like 2 hrs plus.

Lynn as our Dim Sum Dolly After the sumptuous lunch, we headed to vivo after being clueless what to do next. I saw the panda! Then we were off to the roof terrace for pics! One thing about 43 is that we are quite photoholics, so it’s never too embarrassing to wanna take pics with them as everyone is quite game about taking physically challenged pics or those with weird poses. The weather was great! After the whoring session, we went to Kim Gary for drinks, with our usual chat about certain issues and gossip. Lynn and Ying left after that while the rest of us went shopping. It was a fruitful trip for me, burnt a big hole in my pocket too.
Fashion Parade!
007.5
The most challenging Pic
It's obvious who's cuter :)
DInner was unlike our norm as we took away food from food republic to eat in the stadium area since it was cooling and less crowded. I hate crowds! And we took more pics after eating, with each one of us being the chereographer at least ones. Daryl even changed into the jeans he just bought just for our mini fashion shot. And Hannie and SHeeyee really got very ingenious ideas when it comes to photo taking. What a fun and economical way to while the time away!

My usual Style Ring Ring!
Ouch!Yesterday was shopping with mum at IMM, and we really spent a bomb. I finally got my zen looking bed, very very satisfied with it. It's an Yi Jian Zhong Qin, so I knew I just gotta get that. And something quite funny happened. As there are many soft toys displayed on the beds, I commented casually to mum that the panda was very cute. And guess what? The sales auntie just said "你喜欢就送给你 lor". I was so astonished! And she told us to quickly put in our plastic bag. I was like hmm okay, that was very nice though it was totally unexpected. Its quite a bulky panda though, too large to put in the house, and not as cute as the self-made panda.

Met Willie in the evening to accompany me to Ikea to shop and get ideas for my furnishing. I decided to get new curtains, the lamps at Ikea are awful though. We had a nice meal at Ikea. The meatballs are so heavenly! We went to some clubs after that for just awhile. Don't ya all think he is a combination of 周初明 & 李南星?

VESTed Interests~

UBINice (无比Nice)

After much contemplation, I decided to give up going for the family dim sum lunch to join BNT for Ubin cycling. I was greeted by the sounds of raindrops in the wee morning and felt a little glad that the cycling might be cancelled due to the rainy weather, which will allow me to sleep longer, and enjoy a lunch dim sum when I get up. Who knows, our chairman had decided to go ahead with our original plan just that we postponed the meeting time by an hour. Anw 7 of us made it, we could have more people, but due to truly unforeseen circumstances they could not join us.
It is my 1st time to Ubin after 21 years in Singapore, and I must say I was so shocked by the crowd there, which gives me a feel that I was in a Malaysia town. The weather was clear by then and once we got our bikes, we started riding with our chairman ZL heading the way. We made many stops here and there, to have coconut drink, eat, talk, rest and managed to trek quite a bit to the supposedly highest point in Ubin, which reminds me a little of a mini Sun Moon Lake. The view was fantastic!
@the Peak Happy 6, SK being the photographer
Our most successful jump pic after countless attempts (it's an arc shape) While on the tower at Chek Jawa
Playing with our reflections
Worn-out yet satisfied
The coastal Walk is awesome
After a fun and tiring National DayKX calculated and said we cycled around 16km in total, and we probably treked 3km at least. That was so amazing, considering our very slack pace and we are just too good in finding excuses to rest all the time. Anw I tink it's a good start to more adventurous trips in the future!

We then went TM for Pizza Hut since most of us were so gluttonised by the new cheese stick fondue. It was not bad, but I probably will not try it again. I like to spend a public holiday this way, instead of watching the predictable parade at home, which is no different every year. And if possible, I wanna be closer to nature and the sea :)

Free Days

What have I been doing these days? Well enjoying the life of a jobless guy and a school drop-out. Guess this is the only time in my life where I get to experience such a feeling. It's wonderful I would say. I catched two movies recently, Perfect Stranger and Harry Potter. I dun really like the former, probably because of the actors. Harry was not bad, better than I expected. I also went for a few job interviews, which did not turn out well as my period of availability is too short. So I decided to heed some people's advice and just slack at home instead of actively looking for a job.

Met up wif XX today for lunch at Waraku, my first time at Waraku and food is not bad though I feel the green tea at sushi tei is much better. I had Chicken Teriyaki don. Oh I must compliment their great service and attentiveness to customers. It was a good catch up wif the latest gossips :) Then we went around looking at furniture as I have a plan to revamp my room just only yesterday. I planned to get a new bed and repaint my room, hopefully a portable aircon and a TV as well. I really like the IKEA design but some people said its not going to be durable, which is kinda true. And Im still racking my brain over what colors to paint. Any good suggestions from anyone? I will consider yr views seriously. Haha. My room is in a horrible mess, collecting dust everywhere, including the tweety bird which is more than 10 yrs old.

Ok while walkin in Harvey we saw this, damn Im so cheaply priced! Every sofa has a name and this was so wrongly named Desmond. Luckily I have the foresight to change my name to Max much earlier :)
After that met Jere whom I haven seen for some time. He had his lasik liao, not used to seeing him without specs. I'll go for lasik within the next 2 years. He went to shop for furniture with me also but it's wasn't fruitful cos they are all so exx, like Picket and Rail, Barang Barang all so ex. My budget is less than 500 for a suple single bed, less than 500 for a portable aircon, less than 300 for a 21 inch TV probably.

And German is hard. I have to admit my initial thought that it was copeable by learning myself is just an illusion. Sign. Gotta work harder and procrastinate less. A piece of good news is Pandas are arriving in spore this friday :) Can I have a Panda?

NOSTALGIA

My Last day of work yesterday. Can't believe I actually had mixed feelings. Working is supposed to be a tiring affair, something we dread cos it saps our energy, robs our time in the day, makes us wake up early at 7 plus to squeeze in the thronging train... Never did I expect to feel the least bit of sadness on the last day. I guess it's really the working environment. It has been not too bad, I shouldn't complain. My perception of office job has changed 180 degrees. I used to resist it and feel I can't accept such a lifestyle. It turned out not as bad as what I thought. People Who Care. How true :)

My cosy Corner
I love saturdays! Esp today as the weather is gorgeous. Blue skys, nice breeze, a perfect day out in the sun. Met up with Hannie(quoted from yilynn) to go ECP for a riding session. Initially we had plans to kayak. We rode all the way to changi village, which is quite a long ride yet totally enjoyable. The endless changi coastal road coupled with the deafening airplane sound above us, the light breeze from the sea, the wind blowing in my face, the sun tannin my arms all made it an enjoyable ride, not forgetting the great riding companion.

We were greeted by the delectable nasi lamak at CV, which is simply not to be missed. I love the chilli, sweet and unspicy! The chicken wing is a must-try :) After eating, we then rode back to ECP, and stopped along the way for some nice photo taking it's really rare I get to be at this side of the airport, right beside the runway. What a simple pleasure to indulge in, as I simply love seeing planes, whether taking off or touching down, esp our national carrier.
The Project Runway
I look like I just got out of Jail. Lol
A candid pic I took. I like this pic alot, natural wif the right fencing.
Not forgetting this pic, SIA taking off in the background.
It's so great to while away the day at somewhere like east coast instead of town, which is congested like mad.

Feeling toner now, with much calories burnt :)

REST

Okay I fell asleep while watching my much anticipated U Traveller. Cant believe it that Im blogging the next moment. Anw today is the Swiss National day, so Matt(this guy from st gallen) organized a gathering with swiss people in spore at Marche Vivo, which is so apt as it's a swiss restaurant btw. There were like 10 over of them and I only saw Wen Qing initially. So we settled in first with the rest and we had to split into 3 tables. Jie Hui joined us later. We chatted with this Swiss woman who's working in spore currently, got to know more about the place we r going from her.

Anw Jie Hui just got back from taiwan and she was boosting that she saw three stars there, all within 30 min in the same area around New York new york. She first saw Chen Yi(and tapped his shoulder to request to take pic with), probably most of u dunno who the hell he is. Then she saw Qiao Qiao from Sweety, both of them r filming an idol drama. She took pics with her also. Anw her recount was rather hilarious as it was kind of dramatic. Then the last STAR she met accidentally was Yan Ya Lun (from Fei Lun Hai), she damn excited manz, she actually bought the Xie Zhen Ji but did not bring along that day if not can let him sign. Anw she took pics with him and of him alone and chatted quite a lot with him. He was so casual, according to her. And the last day in Taiwan, she saw Chen Wei Lian. Lol. So star-struck for her and not for me :(
