TORN

I need more TIME! 48 hrs a day! There is so much to do(which I mean mostly Leisure) yet so little time. If only I can segment myself, will be most glad even if it's just 2 parts to multi task. Yest and today are filled with project meetings. And both days were in suntec! Today was horrible, 202 discussion and I fell asleep! Only to found out that I was noticed by a project mate beside me even under the disguise of my cap (which proved useful today). Not that I wasn't listening. Just imagine sitting in starbucks for 6 hrs discussing about Morals and ethics and how it affects decision making. Yawn*** Still, it was kinda embarrasing. I still remember while in St Gallen I fell asleep once too while discussing project. LoL. Okay maybe I shdn't be ranting about this. Owell.

Anw yest went to Shokudo my 2nd time with BFG as part of YC farewell dinner before she flies back to Sydney this sat. I had pork katsu this time. Seeing that no one is keen in the desserts, we headed to have taw huay at Rocher. As usual, the topic of men and women always come up, kind of tired of it.

Back to today, after our lenghty discussion, Verene(my gp mate) suggested movie so we headed to Eng Wah but disappointingly the choice of movies sucks. It was an odd combination cos it was just Verene, me and her NS friend. I wanted to leave actually but still, I joined them for dinner at this steak place in Millenia Walk. And I really have to admit I am very impressed with her. I didnt expect us to have such a debate over serious issues and it was such a rare sight to see a gal debating earnestly over political and educational stuff. The good side was that there was no awkwardness and we all kind of hit it off pretty well. Okay I tink it's a surprise for me =)

Time to think more about my future~

Wrong Focus

I think blogging on the eve of a test has become habitual for me. An impending test tmr (Yes Monday) and clearly I am too distracted, neither am I very well-prepared. I am very laidback these days, guess it gotta do with my lazy stint during exchange. Anw today has been tiring for me. It was my 2nd rowing session and it's the usual case of tiredness after that. But I enjoy it in the sense that it gives more balance to my life.

Anw last thurs we celebrated Lynnie's Bday at Clarke Quay. We were at Sun with Moon (again) and I tried something different this time. For me, I definitely prefer Sushi Tei to Sun Moon. I am always clueless when I see its menu. We got a Branded cake for her, aptly named Mont Blanc.

The wind was strong so we were trying our best to shield the candles.
Sitting outdoors with natural wind =)
Lynnie's Dessert which looks very appealing.
Okay I can't remember what we were staring at.
Lynnie + H savouring Mont Blanc. Happie Bday Lynnie!
Hannie + H. This pic was very hard to take, partly becos both of us were too fussy over how our pics turned out & we were laughing incessantly before taking, and bursting into laughs after taking. Im supressing my laughter =)
Daryl, Lynnie, Hannie & H
Sheeyee + Siying + H. Sheeyee was elegant that night.
The gals =)Finally a group pic =)
After dinner I suggest chilling out at Clinic. It's not the place u see a doctor. Haha. It's a pub with wheelchairs, operation lights... My 1st time and probably the last visit there. The novelty is gone already.
Lynnie and her Drip. This drip she ordered cost 50 bucks and she got quite irritated drinking from the tube after some time.
It's not easy being patient while attending to a Patient.
We had some drinks ourselves and shared the golden fries which was sinfully good.

It was a great night out and we shd just meet more often at Clarke Quay as Im very sick of Holland V (which offers nth special and loads of unwanted crowd) and town area. Im looking forward to our long-awaited tennis session next week =)

Delighted Evening

It was a Thursday nite out wif my usual gang at Shokudo yesterday! It's supposed to be a farewell dinner for Jay who's leaving for Brisbane(again) on sat. My 1st time there and its opened very recently only. It was rather packed and I must say the place exceeded my expectations. It was more variety than I expected, the standard of the food exceeded my expectations and it was not as pricey as I imagined it to be. There were too many choices to the extent that I was taking too long to decide my main course. So I settled for Chicken Katsu eventually and its damn good, esp the curry. We shared alot of food, had desserts, superfine jap-styled pizza, sashimi...

Oh we tried this jap soup as well, which wasn't to the liking of Nuan & Adrian.

And the place is rather big actually, the system of operations is just like Marche.
The mega lantern outside Shokodu.
Oh we caught Deathnote right after dinner at Bugis and we were 15 min late, missed out on some details. The show is surprisingly nice, I love L. He's damn cool, esp the makeup and his actions were eccentric yet cute. Yea we were commenting that there is not much link to deathnote itself but more like a superhero saving the world kind of plot. But its worth catching if time permits, at least I dun feel that I jus wasted my money on some cheap flick with no storyline and meaning.

Okay Im not trying to be lame again, but I just found myself another new name, call me H pls... Haha

The Quadraple~

The fall of a Star

Finally there is a bigger news to override Edison Chen scandal. He is in a way saved by Lydia Sum, who was gone 2 days ago. HK lost another star once again, or rather the Chinese entertainment scene. The news did affect my emotions these few days, and I still vividly recall watching her 美味天王, a 1997 TVB series, which starred Louis Koo & Ou Yang Zheng Hua as well. Illness can really rob so much of a person's health, a healthy person can be reduced to an unrecognisable being once the viral attacks intrude the body. Like I said, nothing is more important than health. I have heard stories of people around my age diagnosed with Brain cancer, Kidney problems... Who says all the sickness only comes with age? Im so going to have a full body checkup soon... starting to have ominous signs surfacing =(

Super Saturday

It has been a super long day! Have to thank Hannie for inviting me to her V-dae "Divine" mini party and its the 1st time I managed to see her friends after hearing about them from her. XX and her friend were invited as well. It was basically a brief session of self-intro, games & food. I would say her friends are very witty, not surprising at all since they have to match her wit at the same time. Haha. And though the theme is Divine, no one except me was wearing white from head to toe. It's the 1st time I wore all white, never felt so angelic in my life before. LoL.

After that, I rushed down to sis school for the much heard about Fashion Show put up exclusively by her class and another class. It was somewhat like Project runway, where the student models parade around in their best condition. And on the whole, the event was pretty well done. Some of the models looked really professional, though they are all only sec 4. My cousins and auntie were there too.

Presenting the IJ Gals
The right side model is a Jap-chinese mixed
This model whom we all agreed looks like Selina from SHE, at least 70% resemblance
There were refreshments after the show which kept me full for a few hrs. Then went down to Auntie Silvia hse for awhile, before going to Central for dinner. Met up with XX for dinner at Sun with Moon. It is my 1st time there and food is very pricey indeed.
My dish of the night - Some sort of Oyako Don presented differently. Still got hour glass timer.
Apparently the dinner wasnt filling at all so we headed for desserts at Waraku. This is what I had. Its quite nice, and the serving is just right for me.
I know I can't be a model since Im not TALL enuff. Owell, jus allow me to entertain myself at least.
Im too bored!
After today, I can conclude that Im really an INFP. And Im quite proud to be an INFP actually. Haha. Im too much of a feeling person, and intuitive. And I really feel that Im a much better friend to be than someone to have as a lover. Some people can play both roles very well, some are better lovers than friends. For me, Im definitely a better friend to have than a lover to be.

INFPs Rox~

Festive Mood Over

Its Sunday. Just means the long cny hols have come to an end. Monday Bluez =( Busy sunday spent doing IT project in the afternoon. Thanx to Sherman for his Taiwan goodies =) I managed to squeeze time to jog. It's a MUST. Den off to MS to meet Hannie for dinner. Okay we were all supposed to be in Yilynn's hse for CNY dinner but due to last min changes(not the 1st time) we did not go her place and so me and Hannie ended up having dinner at Waraku.

Im so excited for Hannie's grad trip. Just let me know if u need more info, I wish I will be free in May to unwind for 3 wks. Sigh. The food is good though, good service also. Yea I agree we shd have more class get togethers. Let's break away from town and explore elsewhere.

My fav Oyako Don
XX joined us after our dinner and we chilled out briefly at raffles city before heading home since we all have monday morning lessons and tons of unfinished work.

Hannie & Hansel

XX & Hansel
Good holidays just past swiftly, and how I wish we have 2 more days of holidays. It's just ironic how life is controlling us and not vice versa.

Pleading time to stop now~

Festive Mood in the Air

Apart from the long break from the hectic school, I guess the most rewarding part about this year's CNY is being able to meet long-lost relatives once again. I have not seen some of them for at least 5 years, not even in weddings cos I usually cannot make it for weddings for some odd reason, and we do not have the custom of visiting one another every year. So thanks to technology, one of my long-lost auntie(my father's cousin - I think I can just call auntie, not sure of the appropriate chinese addressing) was actually able to locate me through my blog. The whole saga was rather amazing!

Anw first day was spent visiting my maternal grandma side, had lunch there as well, pretty much the same as previous years. After that we made a rare trip to my Dad's uncle house. I haven seen them for years, and also to visit my Nanny as well, who took care of me when I was very young, probably 3 or 4 years old. I just feel rather sad, seeing how people age, how lonely aging can be to a person, how meaningless life can be when u r old. In the evening, I managed to catch Fann's Movie at Great world city. The show is pretty meaningless I feel, and I hope Jack Neo will not ask Fann to star in his shows anymore, which will prevent me from catching his shows anymore just becos of Fann. Nuff' said. Anw I had Swenson's ice cream at night!

2nd day of CNY I visited the long-lost relative whom I found through my blog. I call her Auntie Joyce. Went to her condo in Bedok area and she was really very hospitable. Made me feel like a King. And I feel so paiseh cos I didnt give her anything, and she kept giving me gifts, food to eat, apparently still treating me much like a kid. I am still a Kid la. LoL. A kid at heart. I guess in their eyes, Im always like a child. Auntie Joyce and her sister really dote on me and my borther alot when we were young, and I could still feel the same that day. Very touched =) It really feels so good to be loved and cared for.

Yup so after that I went to catch CJ7 and the show is awesome. I like Stephen Chow's creativity in bringing supernatural alien stuff into the movie, and he integrates it in such a way that it doesnt seem too far-fetched or exagerated. Not to mention that his son's acting was natural, I mean Kid's usually can act well, and they share good rapport. The show is simple yet touching, to the point and not draggy for the sake of being so. The alien doggie is ultra-cute, which I feel hogs the limelight whenever it appears. And there is a fair share of humor and eye-candy as well.

Having watched all 3 CNY movies, I would rate CJ7 4.5****, Jay Chou Slam Duck 3.5*** and Jack neo's movie 2**.

Having my dessert at Swenson's
My 2nd day outfit
Off to go
Feeling bored~
OH I managed to see my young pics at Auntie Joyce's hse. Guess which one is me? Haha
Me and my Bro with my fav BEARS then~
These kids are so cuteee =)
One of the 3 doggies in her hse , which scare the lives out of my mum & sis, who are both doggmaphobic. Haha
The over-whelming spread of food
With my long-lost relatives!
Really Glad I found u all again! Meet up soon for majong or gatherings~
So today the 3rd day BFG went to visit Prof Valerie, my bizlaw prof last year and Im pretty amazed by the fact that we are visiting her the 2nd time this year despite not being taught by her anymore. Her hospitality makes us feel at home and Im quite certain it will be a yearly tradition to visit her and her cute and pretty Dutch-Chinese daughters during CNY. Her highly hyper and entertaining gals prepared a comprehensive program for us, which includes story telling, singing and the highlight of the day - Their very own Lion dance. Time flies while we were there playing with her daughters, chatting with her... Then the rest of BFG went to catch CJ7 while I went to town to lunch with mum & sis, before heading to Jay's hse at Kovan. Me, Jay and Nuan managed to play MJ for awhile before we proceeded to Holland V, where I met BFG again for Zi Char dinner.
Anna & Sophie being the Lion~
Zi Char with BFG. I really like the dinner, esp the Mai Pian Chicken, the 1st time I ate it. It's always cereal prawns and after today, Im going to only order Cereal chicken. Im Lovin it'
We all went to Yuhao's place after dinner, where some of them played MJ, some watched including me. I was kinda tired, so left with YC and Pz to go home. It has been a fruitful CNY, not only red packets but I can say its very well-spent. And it certianly is a nice break from the monotony of school.

Smell a RAT?

Its Lunar new year! Wish everyone well in this Ratty year, most most importantly, GOOD health! With health comes wealth & happiness!

To recall 2 days ago, I was in a very elated mood the whole day. I went to school in the morning feeling relaxed, arrived on time outside LT27 to take the AA201 test, and only to realize 15min later that the test is postponed to after CNY! Most students were surprised by the decision to postpone, it's due to a very lame reason: Some cock-up in the booking of LT for the test so it's postponed. I was damn pleased manz, cos I didnt study much at all over the wkend or the night before. And my policy is I WILL NOT mug late into the night becos of a test or exam. It's too detrimental to my health. No wonder the night before I had this weird hunch that it's abnormal why Im feeling so nonchalent(even blogging till 1am instead of hitting the books). Well so everything is pre-arranged =)

So with my HAPPY spirits I went to Suntect to collect my repaired HP, den to VIVO to meet up wif ZY. I treated her to Sushi Tei cos her Bday is today! Yes 1st day of CNY this year. Happy Bday to ZY! Can tell that she was very happy that day, and we took pics at the roof terrace.

Lately Im obsessed into geeky specs due to Felicia Chin's influence. Haha.
ANother One~
ZY & Hansel~
Then yesterday, the very spontaneous me asked Adrian & Nuan out to Sentosa in the morning to chill out. Okay it's mainly becos I want a TAN badly, just realised I was too fair to the extent of looking sickly. Oh I love Adrian's TAN btw. It was very last min so very glad that I have 2 very spontaneous friends =)

Sentosa looks deserted on CNY eve. The crowd is mainly tourists. We were totally lazing on the beach, reading magazines, checking out people's face and bods, gossip, took pics blah blahblah. Like this feeling of doing nothing. Oh it's a pity that JAY couldnt join us due to work.

Nuan + Hansel =Rocky relationship. LoL.
Looking Geeky again~
LoL. Just pardon my childishness~
The TRIO - DAS
After Sentosa I sped to clementi to meet Si and BB for Kbox! It was a gd session for me, finally feel my singing improve again. Haha. I still more suited to sing old songs.
Got home for last min cleaning, den Dad wanna take pics of his bike and so for the 1st time, I sat on his bike to take pics!
Im a BIKER, Okay!
~Stay Happy to all readers & friends

Jay Chou Press Conference

Digress, digress, digress. Big test tmr YET my mind is so OFF. No more notes! Time to BLOG! Enuff of the damn test. Just On Sunday, I went to Jay Chou Kung Fu Dunk Spore Media Conference at Hotel Intercontinental. Really must thank Ah Rui for inviting me to this super rare opportunity to get up-close with Jay, I must really count my lucky Stars. It's probably the only chance I have in my life? Haha. Unless I become a paparazzi in future then can attend more media conferences. Anw it was a super WET day, and I was a little cold and sickly. Still, I gotta be professional and cover my duties as a 1-Day reporter! LoL.

Before the Big Stars arrive, and they were 25min late =( Not that I didn't expect that.
My Media Pass =) Have to wear this around as security was very tight.
Okay finally they arrived and were instantly greeted by endless photo flashes and snaps! FM933 LiYi being the host.
Jay in his usual style. He's quite personable, no airs, very professional. And he give humorous answers, which shows his wit. Chen Chu He(the other actor) is Overly cool and icy. But he's very handsome.
After the Q&A session. Time for Media to take pics proper. I managed to get a gd view. Haha.
Okay this is probably the nearest I can get to Jay Chou. Cool Poses!
2 Shameless Superstars. LoL. I decide that talent goes further than looks. Happy Day =)
At night was the Gala Premiere of the movie at Suntec COnvention Hall. It is Spore 1st movie Gala Premiere outside a cinema, which is the largest in number by far, housing 3000 audiences to watch the show together.
A spectacular Screening Set-Up
And before the show starts, the stars have to make their appearance of course. As expected, they didnt stay to watch since they r so busy and had seen it umpteen times. Luckily we got to stand in a Media area in front to catch a closer glimpse of them.

The show is entertaining. If u like Kung Fu, special effects & Basketball, this show is surely for u. Jay is no doubt the highlight of the show, and I must say he's pretty natural and comical. Im very impressed. He's really a born talent, one of a kind.

When the show ends, Felicia was mobbed by fans for phototakings. And she poses incessantly! Haha. But she was sooo cute in that geeky specs!

My Ticket
Oh saw NAT Ho too in the hall, so approached him for pic =) Our poses are scarily symmetrical. LoL
Cutey Felicia and Me =) Pz must be so jealous. LoL. Im not shorter, jus that she was on heels.
Woah. It was a long day for me, and it was such a cold day. I rarely feel cold in Spore, which just confirms Im not in a gd shape that day. Anw I had a great time wow-ing at mega celebs. Just made me wonder that Journalism is a viable career path for me too! At least I have more passion in it than Accountancy, which is DEAD boring. ANd I realize I dun like numbers so much afterall. In fact, I detest them now!

Hope I can attend such events again soon! Jay Chou, I salute you!
