歡迎光臨,這是新加坡~

I have not been blogging lately cos this week is super tiring. Moo (my Taiwanese friend) and her mum arrived in SG on sunday from Zurich! So we were entertaining her and her mum for all the days(for JH) and nights(for me since I have to work in the day). She has planned a stopover for 4 days, before flying back to Tao Yuan. Anw we were all rather excited that she's coming so JH & me went to T2 to pick her up. It's so fun to try to spot visitors arriving cos u never know when they will be out from the customs. We waited for quite some time as they has some problems clearing the customs. In my excitement, I even wrongly identified Moo from afar at least thrice! It's hard to imagine that she saw me off in St Gallen about 3 weeks ago.

Finally we were certain that was Moo! Her mum wears a European-like hat~
I drove everyone to their Hotel recommended by JH which I think is a good choice since the location is superB. It's the 1st time I witness the DHL balloon descending so close to me at the open terrace of the hotel on the 6th level~
Almost without further ado, I requested politely for a pic from my trusted photographer WQ (who joined us at the hotel). Totally touristy~
After settling down, we went to Glutton's Bay to let them have a taste of our local fares!
It's the 1st time I captured the night scene in SG, how ironic as I realise its rather nice~
I like this pic of SG's landmark~
Basically the 1st evening was spent walking along Esplanade, along Singapore River, Clarke Quay, Central... We were kinda thirsty so had Hokkaido Ice-cream!
Back to their hotel after all the walk!

Monday was super crazy for me. During my lunchtime I had to execute my secret mission of buying JH Bday cake from Taka as we planned a surprise celebration for her that evening. Yup I has to get the cake from my fav shop and it even involved my sis! Long story anw. Went home after work and picked JH, Moo and her mum from Boon Keng MRT where I drove to ECP for our seafood dinner. Met WQ and YT there and we settled in Long Beach. We just have to let them try our famous red chilli crab! They preferred alfresco dining~

Crisp Baby squids~
My fav buns~
The widely agreed Spore food icon~ which I disagreed, cos I feel it shd be chicken rice haha.
And black pepper crabs! I totally love it. I think I underestimated myself, I am quite a Crabby person afterall haha.
The wide spread~

Sweet & sour fish, my fav too~
Kankong~
I had to pretend to ask JH if she wants to go toilet to wash her hands since we all ate crabs. Then in the midst of al the panic I still have to shift the cake to indoors since it was windy and its so hard to get the candles lighted.

Finally~
Apparently JH didnt look very shocked to me, I jus remember a mild look of surprise~
Anw WQ did this super nice scrapbook for her, which records all the mildstones of our exchange. I shall provide a brief glimpse into it~

The idoitic pic of standing on the chair and taking pics of the food~

A potential housewife~
Our domesticated side~
The B'day gal~

Prize-giving ceremony~
It's so coincidental we both wore green that day~
Moo & Me~
The seafood was great, just that I was superbly full after that plus the rich cake. But it was a good meal. It was rather late when we ended our meal so sent them back to hotel to rest since their schedule next day is packed.

If I were not working, I will surely be most glad to go Sentosa with JH and Moo. They went to underwaterworld, took cable car, images of singapore, merlion... joined them for dinner after work near my house - Boon Tong Kee. Chicken rice is in the top 10 list of Moo's must-try food in singapore and of course my recommendation is BTK's chicken rice. And they were all praise for it, saying it's their nicest meal so far in SG! Haha yea I knew Taiwanese loves chicken rice.

The super nice Tofu, soft and tender~

Equally palatable sweet & sour fish~
The satisfied eaters~
WQ couldnt join us so we headed to Night Safari anyway. I was kinda excited cos I have never been there! Yup Im a lousy Sporean... Anw its super ULU and I was so surprised there were so many tourists there at 9 plus. We were lucky enuff to catch the performance at 930, which was super packed.

I know none of the nocturnal animals except owl haha, guess Im rather ignorant in this subject. Anw there was a dramatic part in the segment where the hosts enacted a scene where an animal is lost and it turned out to be a longg snake under someone's seat!

After the show we went for the 45min Tram ride. It's so impossible to walk in the darkness instead of taking the tram. Saw many animals like Malayan Tiger, Lion, Otter, Rhino, Elephant, Deer...

It was quite late when the ride ended and it was visible that we were tired so we decided to go back. We passed by this sourvenir shop and my radar detected Pandas in sight. Haha. How can I miss them.
Talk to me~

So much more adorable than PO the Kingfu panda~

We decided to each grab one haha~It's kinda lame to place a croc in the male toilet...
Feels like im in underwaterworld even when going toilet~
Initially we had great plans for Prata as supper in Upper Thomson since Moo ought to try it but since it was kinda late, we just settled for B&J ice-cream, which I dun mind of course.
I think the night safari logo is very well-designed~

The week really swift passed and it's Moo's last day in SG. As usual I have to work and I thought I couldnt send them off, which I really hated cos it feels so incomplete if I dun do so. Initially I arranged to meet them for lunch as I was prepared to have a long lunch break but then as the morning passed I decided to act impulsively (no la I did ponder abt it) and went to request for half day leave. I stated my reason honestly (sending a friend off at airport) and my manager was understanding enough, which I was very grateful for. But Im not an irresponsible worker OKAY. I did clear all my work before lunch time and made sure there was nth urgent to do. Kinda amazed at my efficiency haha.

Met them in Chinatown and JH and Moo were shocked to see me in my casual outfit with my bag as I told them earlier not to be too shocked when they see me. Im really amazed at what Im capable of sumtimes and I cant help agreeing how 任性 I am. But I held to my belief of seeing them off, must 有始有终...

Anw we ate at this touristy coffeeshop which charged exorbitant prices... Moo wanna try Laksa and Wanton Mee.

This is my Sheng Mian~

Moo's food~
It's the 1st time I see Hokkien Mee like this~

Time to return to the hotel to retrieve their luggages after eating~
I must mention how ancient the lift is, its the typical lift u c in HK houses, where there is an attendant to pull the door for u and press the button. Shd be the one and only in SG~
Even the taxi driver have to take a pic for us~
Went to retrieve more of their luggages at T2 where they deposited, then skytrained to T3 for their check-in. We had Yakun for the last time as Moo likes it alot and WQ also joined us then. It's hilarious to recall her shocked expression when she saw me! Haha. I guess I like to shock people.
Its seriously not alot of baggage after staying in Switz for so long. The cliche yet memorable scene~你黯然,你轉身,我呼喚,你回頭,我上前,霎那間雨珠都閃爍如光圈。 。 。
Okay time for me to depart now... Haha. Im flying to Malta~
Following Rambo's footsteps when there r no one ard to take pics...
We are glad Moo and her mum enjoyed her short stay in SG, and I regret I couldnt accompany them during the days. Have been very draining for a Panda like me who needs lotsa sleep cos I slept around 130am and wake up early in the morning for work for 3 days consecutively, then join them at night... But its all worth it lah. Afterall 有朋自遠方來!

My turn to visit her next~
