Tage Sechs - Yverdon, Neuchatel und InterlakenWoke up super early as I panned to go 3 cities that day. Technically speaking I haven been to these 3 before(Interlaken isnt counted cos that time when I was there its was very late at night and I didnt see it in the day). And Yverdon and Neuchatel are on the western side of Switz! So I went Yverdon 1st, which is a 3 hrs straight train ride from St Gallen. This trip to yverdon is totally unplanned as I was just browsing websites and felt that since I haven been exploring much of the french region I should do so this time round.
The famous cathedral there~
The quiet shopping street on a sunday~
=)
The almost dried river~
I like the contrast of the house with the sky~
Another side of the river~
Probably the most accomplished stuff I did in Yverdon is to go to the mineral spa! Yes my 1st spa session in Europe! Hmm it's a rather popular tourist spot in Yverdon and I didnt take pics cos its quite inconvenient. Anw it's just like a swimming pool, just that the water is pure mineral water and I heard u can drink it directly(which no one did at least). Alot of Europeans(and I suspect tourists included) and Im the only Asian around. The feeling of soaking in warm water in Spring in Jacuzzi-like pool is simply a paradise, basking in the sun in the water.
I thought Yverdon is rather boring if not for the Mineral Spa highlight, which I wanted to experience.
The 2nd city of the day is Neuchatel, which is a mere 19min train ride away from Yverdon. It was also an unplanned city beforehand as the pics I saw on the net looks very enticing. It was overall not too bad, and definitely better than Yverdon. Since it's the french speaking region, the train announcements r in French(instead of German) and "Die Post" is called "La Post" here.
I walked about 15 min to the lake area from the train station.
