Im back from Paris! I shall blog according to days as there are too many things to describe and countless pics to post. Well the 5 hrs plus train journey was worthwhile while we arrived around noon and checked into our hotel, located in the suburban area but only 10min train from DisneyLand.
1st impression of the city as we took the train: why it looks so much like Jurong? Factory lookalike buildings just came into my sight, nowhere could I see what I envision the city to be. We made our way to Lourve as our 1st stop. I was practically OMG all the way! I can't believe it, it has been my dream to be there since reading the Da Vinci Code years ago and here I am, standing in front of it.
The cloudy and drizzle clearly did not dampen our high spirits to take pics, we just threw our brollies away. The whole structure is simply a masterpiece, and it truly deserves the title of the Best Musee in the world.

With the 2 Thai Galfriends
In the Musee, hordes of people swarm towards the wing where Mona Lisa is resting. Ceilings are painted and carved, beautiful paintings made the walk along the gallary pleasant, and the only fault I can pick is that the paintings descriptions are all in French =(
Here it is, the world's most famous painting by Leonardo da Vinci is probably over-hyped, I agree with you Hannie. The tourists simply snapped non-stop and surround the barrier around the mona lisa, and I feel that it was more interesting watching the people snapping away than the overly small painting itself. The considerably little crowd at the mega sized painting just opposite the mona lisa is simply ironic.
In Lourve - I dunno y i seem to be in love with this sculpture
Here she rest, Mary Magdelene. Oh crap. Haa. The famous inverted Pyramids.
Lourve is much more mesmerising when Nightfall arrives
We made our way to Eiffel after Lourve. I was simply awe-struck! The manmade wonder that I have been dreaming to see. Beauty. Can't find another more apt word to describe. U gotta see it yrself to feel its beauty at night.
And the whole Eiffel Tower glitters every hour for 15 min I think. I videoed it, as pics alone is not enuff to capture that glittering effect.
It's such a romantic night, as we walked along the bridge above the river. This is why I will not come to Europe again for grad trip or with friends, cos the feeling is just different. You have to come with ya partner to truly enjoy the beauty and romance of the city, for ya future honeymoon will be most ideal. Haa.
More to come~
