Random Post - St GallenFinally this post is not like a travel journal. Just gonna share some of the events which took place while we are in St Gallen. Not too long ago we went to our thai friends' house for Thai Dinner. Yeah. They whipped up Tom Yam Soup and Padthai for us! Yummy. Esp the tom yum soup, sour enuff but I thought it could be spicier. Im going learn Padthai from them before leaving here!
The Thai Cuisine
On another day, as NTU ambassadors supposedly, we set up a booth in school for this student exchange evening to promote NTU. Yeah. Sounds like a noble task but we really did not do much, or rather me. Instead, we even got Toberone Chocs in return from the organizers. Yummy!
And for dinner just now, I whipped up the Chicken Fried Rice and steam egg as promised. BUT. Im not satisfied with my performance at all. I will give myself 40/100, and mainly for the effort. The steam egg totally did not meet what I expected. They said its not bad but really, a far cry from what I can cook in SG. Maybe it's becos of the different way of preparation here. I shall attempt again. And the fried rice is passable, considering its my first attempt and I did not really follow the recipe. I just added the soy sauce, salt etc according to my gut feeling. The 2nd plate wasn't too bad. And I wanna blame the rice here. It taste different and worst than the ones in SG. Next time I will use Thai Rice, not the Migros Rice anymore. Our Feast - WQ prepared the Sweet and sour Chicken
Cooking is FUN though~
