Bern - Interlaken - JungfrauSet off for Bern on thurs but we merely spent 7 hrs in Bern. The capital of Switz indeed pales in comparison to Zurich or Luzern. Place isn't as pretty and definitely less crowded. We did not accomplish much in Bern, spent most of the time walking, went to see the 2 big bears at a park, smelt the air in Albert Einstein's house about 100 yrs ago, shopped a little and spent 2 hrs in a restaurant as we need to rest with our heavy backpacks.

Took a night train to Interlaken, where we stayed for a night. We were so pleased with the service at the hostel which was very personalised and the place just made u feel so at home, something big hotels cannot provide. Then it was a night walk in the serene Interlaken. I must say its much nicer than Bern. Yeah and we went to the casino to see also. Saw this hotel with VJ initials, so decided to take a pic here wif my VJ-NTU senior Eugene
Misty Morning on Friday. We lugged our backpacks along as we checked out and made our way to Mt Jungfrau, the top of Europe. The train journey up is a main highlight, being dubbed the most scenice and best train ride in Europe with the highest train station.
We went to this Ice Palace first, and sure enuff it was icy cold.
Then went to the open area to take pics.

Yeah there were Husky dogs but unfortunately, no dog-sledding.
Thats the snowman me and Chalita made, which the rest snubbed it's more like a rabbit. Haa.
The air was thin, as we panted like mad after throwing snow around for awhile. And I panted after jumping 3 times only. Haa. Couldnt imagine how people can survive on their mount to Everest. Mountaineering is really not a simple feat at all.
The scenery on the way down from the mountain is equally breath-taking.
I realized Im more delighted by nature than cities. Nature makes me go WOW more than cities do. And I totally have no doubt that Im in the most beautiful country in the world.
