020707 Day 30
Our last full day in HCM city. We went for a half day tour to Cu Chi tunnel in the morning. It is an interesting tour, as we see how the people then survived the war period by being so resourceful and smart. Almost all of us fired at least a round of AK47 weapon. The shooting range was very loud as the headphone is damn useless. Then the climax of the tour was when we walked in the approximately 1.5m tunnel which lasted about 100m. There was even a point where I had to crawl as it’s too low to squat past. Damn sweaty when we completed the amazing feat but it’s a great experience!

In the afternoon, some of us wanted to do last minute shopping at Ben They Market again. I was really very sian of shopping there but still managed to buy a bag there. Then me and Susan even bought 2 Vietnamese CDs to listen for fun. We met up with the rest and we proceeded to the shopping street we went to before again. This time I managed to get a t-shirt there but the best part was when me and KX went to AMARA hotel to slack. We had 5 slices of cakes there as it’s really cheap, and it’s relaxing to be away from the busy and noisy street and just simply relaxing with nice music.

Then we met up with the gals and we cabbed back to motel to deposit our heavy stuff before going for dinner at this Italian restaurant for our last dinner in Vietnam. We ordered a spread, 2 large pizzas, pastas, burgers for 8 people! It’s a heartening meal for all of us! The last nite here was spent packing for most people and photo sharing session. I guess most of us are jaded from the whole trip, and we slept only at 3 plus. The last AGM was not successful.
