Hangover
Went to meet Si yest afternoon to book the flights but well it didnt turn out smoothly. Alot of technical errors which left us baffled and it remained unresolved till close to her work time. So have to trouble her to book herself when she reaches home. I still can't figure out wats the problem, but I chose to blame it on the bank. Ha.
Den saw her to work, and I proceeded to Wisma to meet 43 gp for an informal dinner arranged the day before. I reached 1st, den saw XX next surprisingly cos I thot Daryl is supposed to reach earlier. Have to take a queue number as the Ichiban is smal and crowded. We went in 1st to look at the menu while waiting for Wai Han to arrive. Oh man, I cant recognise Wai Han at all. She dressed so appropriately, and she really looks like a lawyer,a lawyer in the making. I believe u will be very rich and successful in future, as wat the fortune teller said. Just remember yr promise to treat us to a lavish meal then. Oh I wore a shirt yest as I wanted to match their outfits cos all of them r working in Raffles place now so I had to be a little formal in my dressing too. Moreover, I was carrying my laptop bag. And XX commented I looked like a salesman, which I wasnt very flattering. Ha. They ordered many kinds of sushi, while I had a Tempura set. I wanted to take pics but seeing that the rest of them looked so worn out and jaded, I decided to restrain myself. So for a rare exception, no pics were taken last nite. Anw nice catching up with ya all, and thanx wai han for yr mum's brownies, kinda missed chatting wif ya mum. She is the coolest mum I have known so far, though u r in constant denial of that. lol.
Den we walked down to Borders, when XX said she is preparing her own book now, as in she's a writer in the making. She planned to publish a chinese novel and is in the midst of writing it. I will wait for the day when that happens. I realized I've been so outdated with novels now, not that Im an avid reader but I tink it's good to catch up with our readings. I always feel inspired to pick up a book after hanging out with u guys. Esp wai han, I cant tink of any novel that she doesnt know, or any author she hasnt heard before. And we strolled from Borders all the way to Cathay and den to Selegie area as we wanted to find a cool place to chill. In the end I suggested Mr Bean and yeah, we went there. We ordered wedges and ice cream, which tasted like magnolia according to them. But nice to sit in and chat. And XX was commenting we can never go on a holiday together, she couldnt imagine that. And I said, 'u will never know if u dun try, and the outcome might surprise u.' I mean true wat, I totally tink its possible, it's not like we just known each other, it has been like 5 years and there is some degree of closeness I believed. Conversely, I tink it will be kinda fun travelling with u guys, cos we r all rather opinionated people and I tink we can learn alot from each other. Haha. Will ya all trust me? We can definitely make it! Yup so lets go Eastern Europe next year! or Greece!
Anw it was past the time when there r buses so we hailed a cab. Wai Han has to reach home soon, but I believed me and XX didnt want to go home so early, so I suggested sending xx and daryl back while we continue hanging out. I went home to get the car and drove xx and daryl to Jalan Kayu as it was already 1 plus and spore simply has not much of a night life, limited places we can go to at such hour. Anw it was near daryl's hse too. Prata place wasnt crowded, while the night gets cooler as time passes. Wat XX said was quite true, u can only know someone more in depth when u r one-to-one with them. We stayed till 3 plus den I sent them back in my sleepy mode. Ya I was feeling that my eyelids were so heavy it's gonna close anytime. Showered the moment I got back, on my comp awhile and went to bed. 430am. Great! It means I can sleep till very late.
Meanwhile, shall look forward to our next meeting soon before I leave~
