Time to blog about happy stuff… The beginning of this week was indeed depressing, but when sadness goes, happier moments descend…
Yesterday was a PLAY day! Out with fellow playboys and playgals at Sentosa! Met BFG at Harbourfront Mac for breakfast. I didn’t know wat to order so ordered the same as Fung and SK. And I feel so heavenly when I took that 1st bite, the EggMacmuffin Burger simply melts in my mouth. Wow simply delicious even as I recall that moment. Think Im gonna Mac to buy that again tmr.
Yea finally got the chance to take the new Monorail into Sentosa. It’s very convenient, just minutes away to Sentosa, much better than the hassle of taking the bus in. We settled at the beach and tried to play volleyball 1st. The weather is really fine and sunny. Sand is hot like stove. But it’s great as it wasn’t that crowded, hence less embarrassing when we display our amateur volleyball skills. But great Attempt guys! And while Pz, Ck and Si were resting under the shade, oh Pz suggested burying Sk’s slippers. Haha. Kinda funnie as Si and Ck tried digging into the sand to bury it. Den I went back to join them to play. As we got quite burnt and thirsty, we decided to rest 1st and shift to another spot.
We settled somewhere in front of Café Delma, and started taking pics. Then Ck & SK wanna try to be monkeys and were so caught up with the slanted coconut tree. And we took pics ard the tree. Den Si got dumped into the water after a failed attempt to push CK in. Shd use more strength ma, or ask me to help, I will surely obliged. Haha. Anw lucky I didn’t la, if not later get dumped also. But well all of us went into the water, which was nice to soak under the hot sun. Took pics with Photo Formation! Den continued to laze in water till ard 3pm before we cleaned up for our Feast!
Buffet at Sakae Sushi! I didn’t know they have a branch in Sentosa. Anw I thot the timing of the buffet is weird. It starts from 3pm to 7pm I think, neither lunch nor dinner time. And food was great! I love Chawamushi, had 3 servings of it! Really very filling meal, we even forgone the complimentary Udon we r entitled to. After dinner we decided to tour ard Sentosa. Well me, Si, Ck & Pz took the SkyCable up to Imbiah. Cool man. It took us to great heights but I was worried my flops will drop. Managed to takk some pics after stabilizing my hand in the air. Pz was totally traumatized by the height. Scenery was splendid. And it was close to sunset too.
Met up with the other 4 at Merlion. We walked upwards and rested in a pavilion where we started to talk about Chinese poems. How apt is that! Quite funny though. Decided to go back up to the Carlsberg tower area but nth much to do there so we decided to head back to Vivo.
We went to the terrace area in Vivo and sat at a corner to slack. Very cooling and nice night. Stars above us, and I thot I saw a planet but tink it’s a satellite. Suddenly had the idea of traveling to another planet, or the moon. Just get me out of Earth! Okay maybe I can only do this when Im 60 yrs old when it’s cheaper to travel to space. Its so nice to just relax and chat, like there is no tmr. After 2 hrs there, we went to Ben and Jerry’s where only Ck bought the ice-cream. I wanted to eat initially but my urge for fries is so much greater. Felt so hungry then. The effects of the buffet was gone! Anw I saw one of my ex-friend from army, where we started to talk about gays. The rest seem so intrigued by gays, some disgusted though. I have nothing against gays though. Think majority are well-groomed and fashionably updated.
So most of us except Ck, Sk and Fung who went home 1st went over to LJS to eat. I ordered the new Seafood Combo which was not too bad. Very satisfying cos it tasted so nice as I was hungry. Finally went home close to 1030.
Fun day, with great company~
Today I have no intention of going out but decided to when Jason called me. Haven met him since CNY so good time to catch up also. Went to Orchard to find him at Kino as he was looking up some travel guides. He’s going to study in Queensland this July, another friend who is going to Australia to study. I wonder if I will get the chance to visit him over there.
Regarding the GIP, I kinda have second thoughts now. On one hand when I think it’s quite prestigious and great to go overseas for 1 sem, but there r so many things to leave behind if I go. I hope I won’t get it! So I dun have to be caught in a dilemma. Haha. Wat on earth am I thinking? Whatever. I will see how it goes.
