Phuket Trip

Recalling my Phuket trip...

Okay on the 27th Jason and I took the nite flight. Then we went to the wrong boarding gate. The airport crew told us we at wrong gate, ours supposed to be gate 11. But her attitude was so rude. She didn't tell us nicely and even remarked "call yourselves s'poreans" in an unfriendly tone, snubbing us. I was very shocked as I didn't expect such a service in Singapore airport, even if it's budget terminal. But what the hell, we left 5min only so no time to scold her. So we ran to the correct gate and being the last to board. We nearly missed the flight. But of cos I didn't let this unpleasant encounter affect my holiday mood.

By the time reach there already 10 plus. We look out for the guide who is supposed to fetched us but luckily she approached us and brought us to the pick up van. Finally safe and ready to set off for our hotel. The guide speaks chinese and talked alot to us, then telling us the various tour packages we can choose from. We chose the Phi Phi Island one with snorkelling included. Wow so exciting. We were supposed to go for that the following day.

Our hotel is in Patpong district with the busiest nightlife in Phuket, very happening with the night bazaars there. Hotel is okay only at most 3 stars, I didn't expect much also. We settled down then explored our hotel area for 1 hour plus. Walked around, saw Patpong beach, which is the tsunami beach at night, can see people putting paper lanterns, think its some prayers thing. Then while walking along the busiest nightclubs street, we were approached by massage girls. This lady just grabbed my hand asked me if I want it. I said no but she still dun wanna let go, maybe too comfortable to hold but I just walked on. In the end she gave up. Same for Jason too. Haha. What an encounter! Decided to return to hotel to rest as we had to get up early the next day.

Morning call at 630am. Had breakfast at hotel cafe then guide called and said tour is fully booked. Sadded. Cannot go Phi Phi Island today, so instead we went for the city tour in the morning and had no choice but to go Phi Phi on the last day. City tour was quite comprehensive, went to the tidbits factories, jewellery factory, Pearl retail store, Shirt retail shop, temples... But we 1st went for this ATP ride. Its this motor car that we rode across the terrain there, got slope, grassland, very challenging for me as u need to control your speed and brake well and manuveur well. Jason's pretty good at it. I sux to the extent that I had a small accident, my ATP overturned dramatically along the slope which did not crash on my body luckily. But I suffered cuts. Not a problem la, thats what a true man should be ma, rugged and immune to injuries and face the music bravely. Haha so crappy. I still had to pay for the vehicle damage. This month really got 血光之灾。

Afternoon we went to bathe in hotel before going out again at the nearby shopping mall. Felt so broke then, like half my money is gone. I didn't buy anything, we just grabbed a bite and walked around. Oh ya at the shopping mall got thai girls greeted me in Thai, they actually thought I was Thai. When I ignored them, they actually said a Korean greeting, thinking I must be Korean then. So funny. So we walked around and we both went to do something for the 1st time in our life. Still must wait for quite long, though the process is short, and I was getting impatient. And we bargained for it, but I was happy and satisfied after it was completed. Ask me personally if u wanna know what we did. Haha.

After that we walked to the beach, and for the whole evening we walked around shirtless to the tsunami beach, along the streets and back to our hotel. Guessed this is something we couldn't do in S'pore. Anw many ang mohs there are lydat too. The feeling is great! At night we went for a Thai massage, arranged by the guide, supposedly the Top Traditional Thai Massage, thats the shop's name. It's quite professional, not those sleazy types, and its not too bad. Then we had dinner nearby our hotel. We decided to check out the night life so went went to a club to drink and watch performance. Interesting. Went back to hotel to retire for the night as its a busy day for us.

Checked out our stuff in the morning, then van picked us to the pier to take the fast boat to Phi Phi Island. Journey was 45min and we were like the only Asians on board, the rest all caucasians. Enjoyed the breeze and we took pic with an Italy Lady. Haha. We reached the 1st pitstop and were ready to snorkel. We changed our gear and jumped from the boat into the clear water. Wow. Amazingly clear and I can see the fishes swimming beneath me. I tried to reach out to catch them but it all swam away. My 1st time snorkelling and the experience is quite memorable. Can even see corals at the sea bed. We then stopped over at several bays to take pics and snorkel or swim.

Finally its lunch time and we had a nice lunch buffet on the Island. We dined with this Brisbane couple and chatted with them. They were very friendly and told us to look for them if we are in Brisbane. They said we can even stay in their house! So cool right, making foreigners friends. Yup Jason we must go find them in Brisbane next year! We then went to our last stopover, another small island for 1 hour plus to swim and slack there. We took many pics too, mainly becos I wanna take. Haha. As usual. We were tired from swimming, so we rested on the beach chairs under the umbrella to eat ice cream. So idyllic just lazing, checking out hot bods, babes and hunks. Finally it's time to return to Phuket mainland. Totally tanned the whole day.

We stopped at Central, one of the newest shopping mall to shop and eat before our guide picked us at night to send us to the airport. We were totally broke! Next time must bring more money if I'm going overseas cos u never know what unforeseen circumstances u will face. The flight was delayed awhile so we touched down in S'pore close to 2am. Pity the two tired women waiting for us to come out. Haha.

Wonderful Holiday, enjoyed it tremendously~
