Dreaming Again
Yesterday afternoon i went to meet one of my best buddy Jason to go Chinatown to check out the travel price to go Cambodia. I was filled with anticipation as the thought of going Cambodia really thrilled me because i will get the chance to see for myself another wonder of the world, Ang Kor Wat. And also because not many people i know have been there before, and i dun think many of my friends even considered going to Cambodia before,as they are more prone to choose Hong Kong or Taiwan where they can 买东西 & 吃东西. Well for me,i definitely can't resist the thought of going to an exotic place,like Cambodia,or even Vietnam as i think these places will offer us something that we can't see or experience in Singapore. We went to enquire at many agencies and to my utter shock,i can't believe that a 5days tour package to two of the cities in Cambodia, Siam Reap & Phnom Penh actually cost close to $1000. WOW-the only word to describe my reaction. At first i thought this kind of place should be quite cheap la, sure below $500 but well... Moreover I also learnt that we have to use US$ if we go there. I was like wondering, dun they have their own currency,then the agent told us their money is worthless so the people all use US$. SADDED lor. Looks like i can only go there when im richer. Now must plan new destinations liao. Actually go anywhere i also happy la,as long as im out of Singapore, i will feel like im in a state of retreat. Really got a lot of places i want to go, just to list my top 10 destinations in the next 5 years, in order of preferences:
1)Hawaii(Suntan in the beach and enjoy coconut drink)
2)Maldives(before it sinks i must go there)
3)Cairns(to scuba-dive in the Great Barrier Reef & water raft there)
4)Egypt(ride the camel in the desert & explore the pyramiads)
5)Switerzerland(i want to ski there)
6)Venice(Enjoying ice-cream while sitting the Gondola)
7)SIlk Road(Xi-an esp cos i wanna see 兵马俑)
8)Mongolia(the vast greenland! i wanna lie there)
9)Jiu Zai Gou(Capitvating waterfalls & rainbows)
10)Dubai(Just imagine skiing in a Desert)
Is the list attractive? I really want to add these places to my dictionary in 5 years time, haha hope im not being too idealistic here. Anyway i attached a pic of Taj Mahal below, also one of the 7 wonders of the world which Im lucky enough to visit last year while on Army overseas exercise. I just want to show off la,that i went there before. haha
Oh i forgot to thank my Slurpz team in my last entry, i think we have all done well, im very satisfied. Specially to YC,thanks for yr help in designing the backgrounds of the slides and offering yr place for discussion,we all really appreciate it and dun ever feel bad for not being able to come last friday as we all understand the awkwardness u might feel.U r always part of our team!
